Most times I can see you for a first appointment within 24 hours.

I hate shoe-horning therapees’ problems into categories, as if you come with an anxiety problem and that defines you.  However it’s the traditional way of presenting things so here is a list of psychological and life issues I can help you with.  It’s not exhaustive, so please remember if you are in trouble just ‘phone, whether you fit into the list or not.

If you can’t get to my clinic have a chat to me about on-line work.  It’s good and cheaper too!

The cost of a failed relationship in terms of stress and other emotional disturbance is often incalculable. It leaves an indelible mark, and that doesn’t even include the often financial whirlwind that follows.

Come and see me before it all ‘falls of the edge’ or you start paying out huge sums of money to a solicitor.

I practice a very active/directive form of CBT for relationship distress and disturbance, with often rewarding results.

Holding Hands

I’ve been supervising now for many years, including high intensity trainees working towards university graduation.   I still mark examination papers for trainees at one of the major universities.

I was awarded one of the first post -graduate diplomas in clinical supervision from Derby University.

Supervision is not just a re-accreditation requirement or just about case management, it should be a total package of support for you the supervisee.

I consider supervision to be one of the most exciting aspects of my profession, either working with peers or younger clinicians who are setting out on the challenging business of being a therapist.

I offer very competitive rates for supervisees who want to enter into a reasonably long term supervision relationship, most of which can be arranged on-line.

As an ex-director of BABCP, retired Chair of AREBT, founder of the BABCP IPSIG, and still a member of its training sub committee, I retain a great deal of experience which I can share with supervisees.

I’m always interested in a discussion as to whether I can meet your supervision needs.

Researching and Writing

I have been providing reports as an ‘expert witness’ for many different organizations for a considerable number of years.

Most of these reports have involved the subject being involved in some sort of trauma including road traffic accidents, major traumatic events, and even cases of torture.

In my work as a clinician and in other occupations I have actually been involved in traumatic events as they have happened, managing my own reactions to the trauma, and in helping others manage their own reactions too.

Post Traumatic Stress is an often over-diagnoses condition because it is not specified well and can be confused with other psychological conditions like anxiety and depression.

So the experiences I have gone through and my continuing professional training enables me to identify and report on such cases with a good deal of confidence and insight.

Contact me if you wish to refer or discuss such incidents.
